J. Amado Araneta Foundation launches Clean Hands Project
J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the social development arm of the Araneta Group, spearheads the Clean Hands Project -- an initiative that aims to support proper hygiene and community livelihood.
JAAF partners with Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City Small Businesses and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC-SBCDPO), and the Office of Mayor – Quezon City for the said project.
The project launch was marked with a turnover ceremony on August 3 at Novotel Manila Araneta City. It was attended by Helen Valenzuela, JAAF Officer; Maria Garcia, General Manager of Novotel Manila Araneta City; Nina de Jesus of the QC-SBCDPO; Therese Galindo from the Novotel Executive Office; and Nikko Matias, Head of HR for Novotel Manila Araneta City.
Scrap soaps from Novotel Manila Araneta City are turned over to the Gawad Kalinga - Munting Pamayanan, which will reprocess the soap. JAAF will purchase the bar soap for donation to public schools in Quezon City for their wash areas.
Clean Hand Project aims to enable hygiene by providing access to soap, while at the same time support local community livelihood through repurposing waste materials. It also helps the hotel reduce its waste.
