Public officials visit New Frontier Theater for nat'l COVID vax drive
Araneta City welcomed on March 11 key officials and personnel from the Department of Health (DOH), Quezon City LGU, and the Australian Embassy in the Philippines for a short ceremony at the pediatric vaccination in New Frontier Theater.
The visit was part of the government's rollout of the "Bayanihan, Bakunahan" National COVID-19 vaccination program from March 10 to 12, 2022.
Present during the visit were COVID-19 Task Force chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Steven J. Robinson A.O., DOH Regional Director Gloria Balboa, and Quezon City Business Permits and Licensing Department (QC BPLD) head Margie Santos.
The officials were joined in a short ceremony and media conference by Diane Romero, Executive Director of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF). The ceremony was hosted by Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 Hannah Arnold.
"Since we opened the City of Firsts for the government's vaccination drive, we have already administered around 300,000 COVID jabs. We take pride in being part of the 'Bayanihan, Bakunahan' National COVID-19 Vaccination Days, and we look forward to more meaningful partnerships with the government to better serve our community," Romero said.
The Araneta Group, though the arrangements of JAAF, offered to the government the free use of New Frontier Theater for the latest COVID vaccination campaign. For March 2022, vaccines for adults and minors were administered on March 10, while pediatric vaccinations were held on March 11 to 13.
